At the end of the game, you will be offered the chance to review the notebook in which your findings will be noted (automatically). This is a very good option to detect the things you have missed or not seen enough of in the game. We have added hints behind every entry on every page of the notebook... good luck!
People befriended
Celie
- You can win Celie's trust by returning her necklace. The necklace can be found in the dog house earlier in the game, and the dog can be convinced to leave his premises by throwing a bone you can take from the icebox in the kitchen. Celie is somewhat superstitioous and afraid, but has a lot knowledge of affairs taking place around the estate. If you give her her necklace, you are welcome in her shack. Go up there and have a good chat ^_^.

People with gambling habits...
Rudy
- Rudy has gambling habits according to Ethel. As Ethel is pretty drunk throughout the game, you only have a chance finding this out at the very beginning of the game. Immediately after you have started a game, when you enter her room, you can ask her about everybody (see our walkthrough :^) )... and ask her about Rudy.
Clarence
- in Act II, you can spy on Clarence and Wilbur quarreling, after you've found them doing the same outside. Spy on them from the secret passageroom and learn all you need to know. Some people will confirm this for you as well.
Wilbur
- There is plenty of evidence against Wilbur, of which you will see the most important one in spying on Wilbur and Clarence quarreling in Act II. However, his interest in horse races (the magazine near his chair in the library) is helpful as well.
People guilty of embezzlement...
Clarence
- In the same discussion with Wilbur about the horse race scam, it becomes obvious they have spent a great deal of the colonel's money betting. (Act II)

Lillian
- You have to notice Lillian put on perfume (which is done by looking twice at her in the bathroom (at the same scene)), performed in Act I.
Clarence
- You have to look at Clarence at one of the several moments you can see him smoking (and notice the kind of cigars he uses). This is not the same kind as Colonel Henri uses *hint hint*.
Fifi
- Watch Fifi put up perfume (beginning of Act V).
People refusing to sell something...
Ethel
- In Act I, you can spy on Clarence and Gertie having a discussion, in which Clarence utters his displeasement with Ethel refusing to sell what is hers.
People romantically involved...
Henri
- Fifi can be spotted kissing Henri on the lips, and when you spy on them on this moment, you can overhear her telling him she cannot refuse him and that she's very attracted to him. This is the first spyable moment of Act I.
Gloria
- Gloria is telling Rudy that she has had enough of Clarence and has a new lover, in Act 1 (spy on them in the Billiard room).
Clarence
- As learned in the overhearing of Gloria's romances in Act I, you learn as well that is she no longer is interested in Clarence.
Jeeves
- Jeeves is kissing Fifi in the dining room, in Act IV. In Act V you can observe him washing up for a special evening.
Fifi
- Fifi is seen flirting with the colonel in Act I, kissing Rudy in Act II and kissing with Jeeves in Act IV. Later she is preparing for a romantic evening with Jeeves.
Person wishing to end an affair...
Gloria
- Gloria is telling Rudy that she has had enough of Clarence and has a new lover, in Act 1 (spy on them in the Billiard room).
Has embarressing medical history...
Gloria
- Gloria first notifies Rudy that she does not trust Wilbur to keep quiet about her medical problem (which you can overhear while spying on them) in Act I. You can also watch her talk to Wilbur afterwards, but this spying is what you need as proof.
Objects which have changed location...
Derringer
- The Derringer is the gun in the glass case in the Colonel's study room. It is stolen at the beginning of Act VII and found next to Lillian's dead body in Act VIII. As with all moved objects, you have to notice them at least twice, to have Laura understand that they have moved.
Dagger
- The dagger is taken from the left cabinet in the the Colonel's study room, in Act VI. As with all moved objects, you have to notice them at least twice, to have Laura understand that they have moved.

Doctor's Bag
- The Doctor's bag is located in the guest room left of the Colonel's bedroom, where Wilbur resides. In Act VIII, it is found opened in Henri's room. As with all moved objects, you have to notice them at least twice, to have Laura understand that they have moved.

But there is more to the story... you can see him walk by spying on him in his room. He walks from his wheelchair to the little cannon above his fireplace.
People who use the secret passages...
Henri
- Henri is obviously using the secret passages. Both his cane (Act III) as his cigar butt (Act IV) can be found in the secret passageways. Ask people about the cigar butt you have found, and look at people smoking as well. They do not all smoke the same cigars :-)
Lillian
- Lillian's perfume can be detected in one of the upstairs passageways, in Act V. For this to be proof, you will have to have taken notice of Lillian putting on perfume by looking at her twice in the beginning of Act I, when she is putting perfume on in the bathroom.
One who murdered the most people...
Lillian
- Lillian. This one is harder to prove. You will have noticed her strange behaviour in e.g. the dollhouse, but most of this information comes to light by talking to the Colonel. If you have found all fingerprints, you have enough evidence. If you shoot Rudy in the end of the game, Henri will tell you even more.
Time of first visit to the attic...
9:45
- 09:45 is your first chance. The key needed for the elevator can be found in the small cannon in Henri's bedroom.
